Individual Counseling

Individual therapy sessions provide a confidential, safe, and non judgemental space to work through challenging emotions, thoughts and behaviors. Together we begin with a discussion about your unique concerns, goals, background and personality. The relationship you have with your therapist can be a powerful tool in building self understanding. Through our work together, you can gain insight into what your patterns are, where they come from, and how they currently affect your life. You will also find relief from the challenges you are facing and learn new skills to apply to the issues you are having.

Couples Counselling

Couples Counseling

Couples Therapy is sometimes referred to as marriage therapy or couples counseling. The goal of this type of therapy is to help couples of all types, recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships. I support a couple’s need to explore their own path and to create an open and non-judgmental space to be their authentic selves, maintain healthy boundaries and still be able to thrive in their relationship.

Brain Spotting

Brain Spotting

Brainspotting is a therapeutic method that locates points in the client’s visual field that helps to access unprocessed trauma. Discovered by Dr. David Grand, PhD in 2003, Brainspotting is a proven effective trauma treatment. It can also be used to treat anxiety and depression. and can help with creative and athletic performance. This fairly new treatment was developed by referencing existing psychological and physiological treatments. It taps into the client’s innate wisdom in order to more quickly process and heal from trauma. The therapist supports the client by helping them be in tune with their body and finding what’s called a “brainspot.” A brainspot is an eye gaze that helps the client access the part of the brain that the trauma is held. It goes beyond normal talk therapy and even other effective trauma modalities to truly access the root of the trauma to resolve it.
